When you live in a family that lives for practical jokes, it’s important to be able to find ways to relax. From the moment I wake up until I go to sleep, there’s always some sort of prank either being made or plotted. That’s why I do yoga. It helps me relax and unwind from a long day working at the local paperclip factory. I enjoy yoga so much that I do a weekly yoga class, which takes place at the scout hut. Ask me later for a flyer. 

My husband Hari runs the Har-Har Joke Shop in Beanotown and his colourful outfits and love of jokes means he’s very popular and knows everyone. I think there’s only one person who truly doesn’t enjoy practical jokes around here and that’s Beanotown’s mayor, Wilbur Brown. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him smile at anything funny. It’s a shame, because I bet Walter would love to have a look around the shop, but he seems exactly like his dad.

Because of the joke shop, our children Hani, Harsha and Heena have grown up surrounded by pranks and love them. I think Harsha’s the biggest fan of them all as Hani loves computer games and Heena is busy with school work, seeing her friends and social media. She gets a bit grumpy when a practical joke is played on her – she prefers to be prepared for it. But where’s the fun in that? Hari encourages them all and the house can be a bit chaotic sometimes, so I have to put my foot down occasionally so we can have a relaxing evening together. 

When everything is calm and everyone is watching TV, that’s when I can catch them out and pull a prank when they’re least expecting it. Like all the best jokes, it’s all about…
